What quote/saying do you lean on when the going gets tough?

We don't have to do this, we get to do this.

Do you have any pre-race/competition rituals/superstitions?

I do a 3 day carb load leading up to any marathon which has me eating close to 500g of carbs a day. Basically, a lot of bagels and gatorade.

What or who inspires you to push yourself to the next level?

When I became a mom my priorities with fitness changed and I wanted to show my boys the importance of being fit and being strong role model for them. I also want to show them that girls can do hard things!

What are some of your other favourite hobbies when you are not training or competing?

I love watching my boys play hockey so we spend a lot of time at the rink. I also love just catching up with friends over a walk or cup of coffee and date nights with my husband at a yummy new restaurant. I love food!

What is your proudest athletic accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment is qualifying for the Boston Marathon and having my kids watch me run it in 2024.

What is your go-to workout song?

I have such a range of music I love from 90's hip hop to country. I would not say I have a favorite song but love some old school beats like Missy Elliot and Eminem to new country artists like Morgan Wallen.

What is your go-to mantra for living an active life?

My go to mantra is we get one life so reach for those big dreams and have no regrets.

What is your story?

I have always loved being an active person and played basketball in high school and ran track and cross country growing up. But it wasn't until I became a mom to 3 boys that I realised how important working out was for my mental health. I love going for a run to clear my head and really do my best thinking on those long runs. I call it my therapy. Qualifying for Boston was always a dream but I didn't think it was possible after having 3 boys back to back I decided to go all in and try to qualify in 2023 and started working with a running coach, Well - the rest is history. I qualified for Boston that May and started documenting my journey online connecting with so many other moms and runners. This past year. my running partner and bestie also qualified so we are running Boston in April 2025 together. I love chatting with like minded individuals and connecting with runners around the world. It is truly the best community.
